Q:

How to fix a f30 error in maytag washer MHWE450WW02

A:

Thank you for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com. Sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the washer, I know how frustrating that is.

The F30 error code indicates an issue/error with the Dispenser System. It occurs when the dispenser motor cannot be driven to its proper position.

For convenience, I have attached an error code breakdown that shows the F30 error with possible causes/procedures to fix. If you don't see the attachment, click here to see this response on ManageMyLife.com with attachment.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask. Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

If, after 30 seconds during Diagnostic Test, less than 3.3 oz (0.1 L) of water has entered the machine, or if durring a cycle, the maximum fill time of 13 minutes is exceeded, the valves will be turned off and the error code will be siplayed.  Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

Possible causes/Procedures:
1.  If there is no water in the unit:
a.    Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
b.    Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves.
c.    Verify inlet valve operations.

2.  If there is no water in the unit:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when having trouble with your washing macine spin cycle.

Maytag ovvers a varieto fo spin cycles for use with different wash cycles and clothing items.   When you have performance issues I have some instructions to folow and see if that helps first.

1.  Select a regular spin cycle over slower spin cycles like "Delicate," "Hand Wash," "Extra Low, "Low Spin" or "No Spin." Slower spin cycles can cause the washer to retain a small amount of water in the tub even after they are complete. Leave the lid closed during the wash cycle, as the washer will not operate if the lid is open, nor will the water in the drum drain away.

2.  Add additional laundry items if only one large item is being washed, or if the load is very small in size. Bulky or small loads can result in the washer being out of balance. This can result in water not draining properly during the spin cycle.

3.  Use only high-efficiency laundry detergent in Maytag washers that are energy efficient.   High-efficiency detergent is marked "HE" and can be purchased at most grocery stores. If the wrong type of laundry detergent is used, water may not drain correctly during slower spin cycles due to an excess of suds in the water.

4.  Clean the drain hose and straighten, if needed. Ensure the end of the drain hose is no higher than 96 inches above the floor, as this causes water to flow back into the washing machine.

5.  Allow a slow-spin cycle to end. Then select a faster spin cycle and press "Start" to drain the remaining water out of the washing machine
