Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I completely understand how frustrating it can be when your Washer is clogged and the drain pump does not work. I did check on the F21 error code and I found that it means the machine control has detected a draining problem. Since you did check the filter and pump,  It may have unclogged it, but there may still be stuff stuck in the pump.  Here is a list of what other issues can cause that error code.  If none of these are the issue then your drain pump is bad. I would recommend a technician taking a look at the drain pump to be completely sure that is the issue. 1.      Check for kinked or clogged Drain Hose: Remove any obstructions in the drain hose / stand pipe / utility sink. Straighten the hose to remove any kinks. If the washer is unable to drain due to a kinked or restricted drain hose, the washer may not spin. 2.      Check for excessive suds in the washer:

  1.
    • Drain pumps cannot drain suds out of the washer.
      To clear the suds condition:
      1. Check the drain hose and make sure the hose is not plugged or kinked
      2. Press pause/cancel twice to clear the display
      3. Run the machine through a Rinse/Spin cycle using cold water, then a Normal cycle using cold water.
Note: Do NOT add any additional detergent.
      4. This will remove much of the remaining detergent held in the fabric. This step may have to be repeated to remove all the detergent
 3.      Check for the Drain Hose being inserted too far down the stand pipe.
  1.
    • The drain hose should not be more than 8 inches.
 4.      Check for Standpipe higher than 8 feet above the floor:
  1.
    • The pump is not powerful enough to pump water to heights greater than 8ft. The water will remain in the basket.

5.      Washer Issue - If it has been determined that the error code is not being caused by issues 1-4, then there may be a problem that requires service.

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

Hi,

Thank you for asking this question and allow me to answer it this way.

The rear tub has the bearing installed on it and the cost is 376.66 plus the shipping and the handling. I would say to you that if you are going to replace the rear tub replace the inner basket also it has the shaft that runs through the bearing. It should be replaced to help prevent future leaks. Here is the link for the Maytag Rear tub Model MHWE450WW01 .

I hope this answer is useful and that it helps you correct the problem with your appliance.
Thank you for using ManageMyLife.
