Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. The F30 indicates a dispenser error. The dispenser motor (W10352973) is not being driven to it's proper position. The dispenser motor itself could be bad ore something is jamming the dispenser. Sometimes you can manually attempt to rotate the motor shaft slowly and it will begin to operate again. The image below will explain how to run a quick diagnostic test along with a program chart which will indicate what the washer is supposed to do. When in it's in the test and displays C:02; the dispenser motor should operate and stop at the pre-wash position. Possible Causes/Procedure:

  1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
  2. Remove the screws along the back of the top and remove the top to access the dispenser motor.
  3. Check mechanical linkage from dispenser motor to the top of the dispenser.
  4. Check wire harness connections to the dispenser motor and Central Control Unit (CCU).
  5. Check dispenser motor for powered rotations.

You can order parts from our Sears Parts Direct web site. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F70" fault code implies no communication is detected from the Central Control Unit (CCU) to the User Interface/touch panel.

The "F71" fault code implies no communication is detected from the User Interface/touch pad to the Central Control Unit (CCU).

The wire harness connecting the two will need to be checked for continuity and for loose connections. If the drum is not rotating, unplug the Motor Control Unit (MCU) from the Central Control Unit (the MI3 or M13 connector). If the code goes away, then replace the Motor Control Unit (MCU). If the code does not go away, replace the Central Control Unit (CCU).

I added an image below showing which connector is M13. I also added an image explaining the fault codes and how to diagnose which component is faulty. I also added the diagnostic test in the last image. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before disconnecting the M13/Mi3 connector from the MCU (Machine Control Unit).

I recommend calling a service technician in order to diagnose and repair your washer if you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
