Microwaves are inherently dangerous to service. They contain high voltage internal component that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. A microwave shielding leakage test must be performed on the unit using proper testing equipment following any internal component access or repair before the microwave can safely be returned to service. These are the reasons why I recommend that you have a service technician repair this microwave failure.

  • If you have not already done so, please check the outlet for power, by plugging in a light or hair dryer or some appliance to see if the outlet is live.

  • Yes there is an internal fuse. 3B74133K for $3.49 and you can order this part from Sears Parts Direct .

  • But in order to replace the fuse, you will have to remove the front control panel and because it has High Voltage in that area we not not recommend you try this.
