Thank you for your inquiry on your Maytag Range, Model: MGR4452BDQ. From reviewing the details on your model, based on your symptoms it does appear that the control is malfunctioning. Since you’re not able to get the temperature up button to work I would recommend you replace the oven control/timer.

A:

Clean the burner head as described in the image below. That procedure is from the owner's manual for your range. Clogged ports in the front of that burner head could be causing this problem. Use a straight pin to clean the ports at the front of the burner if necessary. If that burner head is damaged, then it will need to be replaced. You can order that part from this page: Maytag Gas Range Model MGR4452BDQ Gas Control Parts . Be sure that you unplug the range and shut off the gas supply before replacing that part. You may need a strap wrench to break that burner head free when replacing it. Rotate the burner head to the left (counter clockwise) for 1/4 turn and then lift it up slightly. Remove the wires from the igniter. Replace the burner head.

This information may help you fix that burner problem in your range. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine and repair the range, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
