Why doesn't oven heat up correctly anymore? MGF334BGWD

A:

I know how important it is to have the oven heating properly so that your food will cook evenly. I did some research and I was able to find a link that will provide you with some good information. I hope this helps with your oven troubles while you wait for your expert response.

Here is another copy of the link that Joseph P. posted in the above response: Kenmoor gas oven not heating up to set temperature .

That answer covers a similar type of range.

Your details seem to indicate that the ignition system is working properly. That ignitor should keep glowing even after the burner is lit. Here is a link for a brief video that describes the ignition operation in your oven: Gas Ignition Operation . If the burner does not stay lit even though the ignitor continues to glow then you could have a weak ignitor.

Your details seem to indicate that the burner is lighting properly and stays lit. In that situation, the control and the ignitor are probably okay. Check to see if the surface burners are working properly. If those surface burners are weak, then you could have a problem with your gas supply. If the surface burners work properly, then you could have a problem with the oven burner. Check burner for damage or restrictions in the ports (holes) in the burner. If you see no problems with the burner, then you may have a bad pressure regulator on the range. I recommend that you have a service technician examine and repair that type of problem. You can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you need parts, you can order them from this page: Frigidaire Range Model MGF334BGWD Parts . Be sure that you unplug the range before accessing internal components and replacing parts.
