Thank You for choosing ManageMyLife.com. I understand how important it is to make sure the self cleaning mode is safe to use around your family. If you follow the proper procedures for preparing the oven and clean any excessive grease spills out of the oven before starting the cycle, the self clean feature is safe. Grease spills will be the major contributor to smoke that may come out of the oven vent during the self clean cycle. You may choose to turn on the fan on a vent hood or open a window to reduce the smoke if this occurs.
If you have further questions please let me know. Thanks for using ManageMyLife.com

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Press SETUP option button or the (0) pad if it does not have an option button.  Then press the number (7) and then press auto set to change it back to Fahrenheit. Then press Cancel to set it to Fahrenheit and exit the program.  See image below.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

As pointed out by Joseph P. in the above response, you should find the instructions for changing the temperature in your oven back to Fahrenheit in the owner's manual. You can probably find that manual on our website using the link provided above. If you can't find the manual or you need more help, reply with the full model number of your oven or range and we will assist you further.

A:

Hello Margaret. I do not see an option for switching the temperature display between Centigrade and Fahrenheit on that model of Maytag wall oven. I did find a procedure on a similar model. Try pressing 0 (zero), 7, Autoset and Cancel. That may work. If not, let us know and we will research this issue further.
