You would normally need to have that cooktop replaced but I do not see that replacement part available. Since the replacement cooktop is no longer available from the manufacturer, I recommend that you replace the range.

You can view new models of ranges on the Sears.com website.

This range has microwave components in the oven. That door contains essential microwave shielding components. I recommend that you have a service technician examine and repair the door on that oven. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as adjusting the glass, can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave door service. It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in those repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME. We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future.
