Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the indicator light. Based on the information listed, this would lead to a failed infinite switch # 7403P239-60. To determine for sure, if the switch has failed, first disconnect the power from the unit. Now remove the back panel cover, to access the switch. Disconnect the wire from the P terminal on the switch for the left front burner. Reconnect the power and if the indicator light stays off, it will mean, the switch will need to be replaced. The image below shows how to lift the smooth glass top on that model of range. Be sure that you unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breakers to completely disconnect electrical power before beginning this repair. Once you carefully lift that top, you should be able to remove and replace that radiant element.
