Question and Answers

Q:

Dryer Maytag control panel light up by itself

A:

The control panel lights lighting up on it's own is concerning. I did some research on your model number but was not able to find a solution. Your expert will be able to help answer your question. It may take two business days. I do hope that everything works out on the dryer. I added a link below to Sears Home Services in case you would like to take that route.

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your dryer. However, in order for the panel to come on by itself, there would need to be an open circuit between the power supply and the board. In order find where the problem is you will need to test the L1 and L2 connections. Now depending on if this is a electric or gas dryer, you will either looking for 120 VAC or 240 VAC. I would suggest that you have an electrician or a technician do this for your, because it can be very complicated. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
