Thank You for Submitting your question to ManageMyLife.com

When this particular style dryer is making a loud noise in spin the problem is usually one of the following; drum seals, drum rollers or idler pulley. The drum seals are in front of the drum and the bearing is in the rear if the noise you hear seems to be from a particular location. If the noise is comeing from the idler pulley then you will want to replace the pulley and belt. I have included the links to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the parts you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue links below to be taken to the page.

Thank you for the complete model number. From the description you give i suspect the control relay is the problem. The thermal fuse is the usual suspect when the dryer motor will not run but if the dryer runs even for a few seconds then the thermal fuse is okay. If the motor is the problem then usually it will run for 10-15 minutes before shutting off. One thing to try is after the dryer stops running open the door and see if the drum light still works. The 37001286 control will cost approximately $135 dollars. If you have access to a meter I can suggest some further checks of voltage if you feel comfortable doing so. The control board is located in the console. Remember to unplug the dryer first.
