Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when your Maytag dryer is not heating.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your model number MDE9706AYW.

If your dryer is not heating at all.  The first requirement or step in looking what's wrong is please check your lint screen area to make sure no lint is trapped in the hole.  Next is to check the vent area going out of the house.   Is is vital to have air flowing freely at all times.

Providing that is taking care of with the air, then the next step is to check your Heating element, your thermostat, and your thermal fuse.  Sounds you have been through this before by knowing all to check.  If you can get  your hands on on ohm meter, I will tell you what they should read.

Heating element is 10 Ohms.

Thermostat is  11 Ohms.

Thermal fuse is 10 - 50 ohms.

Heating element per model MDE9706AYW

Thermost per model MDE9706AYW
