Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details it sounds like the dishwasher will wash but stops running when it's time to drain water. Your dishwasher has two pump and motor assemblies; one for washing and one to drain the water. When it finishes a washing or rinsing cycle, the wash motor stops running and then the drain pump must come on to drain the water. I suspect the drain pump assembly could be faulty, jammed or it could have faulty electronic control if the drain pump is operating. The drain motor electrical circuit should be checked if the drain pump is not running. If the drain pump is making a humming noise, it is likely jammed or faulty.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

In order for the water inlet valve to open and let water fill, the inlet valve must have 120 volts. The control board supplies the voltage to the water inlet valve. However; there is one component connected in a series circuit which can break the circuit to the water inlet valve. I added an image below of the wiring diagram to reference.

If the safety/overfill float dome is stuck in the up position or if there is something lying under the float dome, the float switch will open and break the circuit to the water inlet valve. Open the door and lift the float dome located in the front right hand corner. You should be able to lift it up and look under it. The float must be able to slide up and down freely. When the dome is in the full down position, it will strike and close the micro switch in order to complete the path of voltage to the water inlet valve. If the float is up or if the micro switch is faulty, it will not fill.

The water inlet valve and float switch can be disconnected and test for resistance/continuity with an Ohm meter. If you have experience in measuring voltage and you feel safe a confident in doing so; you can measure the voltage supply at the water inlet valve to see if just may be a faulty water inlet valve. If voltage is not present, the float switch should be disconnected and tested for continuity with the float in the down position. NOTE: Disconnect the power supply from the dishwasher before disconnecting the float switch. If the float switch is Okay, and there is no voltage to the water inlet valve, I would suspect a faulty electronic control board.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
