Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your dispenser not working on you dishwasher. We are here to help. Since the wax motor is working with direct voltage, you need to check for voltage to the wax motor with a multimeter. The main circuit board is the source of that voltage. Also check the wire harness for bad terminal connections at the wax motor, and computer board. There is no manual function test for this dishwasher. If all of that is OK, you need to check the door spring and possible a sticking gasket. I provide a image below of the dispenser assembly apart. I hope that helps.
