How does the top fitting on the upper spray hose disconnect on my Maytag dishwasher?

A:

According the parts diagram images below, the top spray arm is attached to the upper spray hose with a snap fitting. You will need to first remove the snap spray arm retainer (Key 31). The spray arm can then be removed. The outlet snap on top of the spray arm can also be removed if necessary.
