Question and Answers

Q:

dryer does not work all the lights on the panel flash on and off do i need a logic board and a relay board?

A:

When an appliance doesn't work properly or gives out it can be very disappointing because you don't really know what is wrong with it or you might even have to buy a whole different appliance. A suggestion I have for you while you are waiting on your response from an expert is visiting the Sears Parts Direct website. I have attached the link below if you are interested in viewing while waiting on your response from an expert. Hope this helps, good luck!

A:

From the description you give the lights are flashing but nothing else works.

I'm not clear if you can select cycles or options or if the lights just blink.

If you can't select or change cycles and options I suspect the problem is with the membrane switch. There may be a stuck or shorted keypad. If you can't change or select cycles/options then the membrane is most likely the problem.

There is one thing you might try first to resolve this problem. You could try to enter the diagnostic cycle and bring up any error codes that might help explain what is wrong. The image below may help you with this.

If you can program cycles and options but the dryer will not run then the problem can be with the thermal fuse or door switch.

Hopefully the error codes will give you an idea of what is wrong.

Try this and submit another question with any additional details for further assistance.
