Question and Answers

Q:

magtag washer MAV7357AWQ sometimes after final spin cycle fills with water again. Is it the timer or the circultboard?

A:

Your washer is working twice as hard if it fills again. Does it continue to fill as if a new load? I found a link that may be helpful. The link is provided below. You will be receiving an expert response shortly. I hope this helps you.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I would need additional details in order to understand if the water inlet valve is opening after the basket comes to complete stop and overfills; or does it just had a short burst of water? Will the water stop entering the washer if you unplug the washer or do you have to shut the water supply off? The problem is more likely the timer or water inlet valve more so than the circuit board. The circuit board is used only to control the water temperatures.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

It stops at the end of the final spin and then fills with water again.

Steve: If you disconnect the power cord after the final spin and drain, does water fill the tub? Does it fill up and overflow? Does it sound like the timer is providing voltage to the water inlet valve? Does the water trickle in and take it long time to fill the tub when this happens? If it fills after the final spin and drain with the power cord disconnected then I would suggest replacing the water inlet valve.
