Question and Answers

Q:

water level knob has broken off MAV7260BWW Maytag Maytag laundry

A:

Thank You for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com. I understand your frustration when a part breaks like that. After reviewing the images of parts on your model I'm not sure which part you need because I can't find a part that is blue in color. So I have attached two image below showing the water level switch (part#22003963) and the back of the knob (part#22003987). If the part is on the switch, then you will need to order the complete switch.

OUT OF STOCK $15 Maytag Washer Control Knob 22003987 silver (626127 kip 5c79)

If you need further assitance please let me know. Thanks for visiting SearsPartsDirect.com

Q:

Why won't my Maytag Atlantis washer work?

A:

According to your symptoms you have a problem with the water level pressure switch. I recommend that you check this component first. Unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components. Check the tube that runs from the air dome on the tub to the water level pressure switch in the console of the washer. Check the wiring connections on the pressure switch. If the tube is okay and the connections are good then you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.

If washer will likely fill and agitate properly once the pressure switch is properly connected or replaced (and properly connected). If the washer still will not agitate then you could have a wiring failure.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
