A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would happy to help you with your washer. Upon researching model MAV5057AWW; based on the description provided it sounds like you may need to replace the snubber ring, part # 21002026.The snubber ring prevents the washer tub from easily moving in ways that the washer is not supposed to move. I have posted a link below of the snubber ring, key#22.

I trust this information will help you, Thank you have a great day.

size MAV5057AWW Maytag Washer

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

We didn't have much documentation on this particular Maytag Atlantis, so I went to Maytag's site and found a great page on specific information on this unit. I see this washer being 3.2 cu/ft for capacity.

If you would like to see the specification page for the unit, I have included a blue link below that you may click on to be directed to Maytag's site.

Maytag's specifications for Model MAV5057AWW

Q:

unable to remove washing machine tub

A:

Thank you for your question I am sorry for the problem with your Maytag MAV5057AWW Top Load Washer.   Removing the 4 bolts should do the trick.  Over time the detergent can form and act like adhesive holding the spin basket to the gasket.  One trick would be to use a putty knife to try and get betwenn the outer tub and basket to break the bond holding the gasket.  I hope this helps.
