Why does my chain keep coming off the chain bar?

Remove the 2 nuts that hold the chain cover on and remove the chain cover. Go to and you can see the parts diagram of the saw. The chain cover is item 20. Clean the sawdust and oil from the cover and look on the end of the cover for the bar adjusting screw (item 44). This bolt has a pin on it that engages in a hole in the bar to move the bar when you adjust the screw.

Be sure you get the pin in the hole of the bar when you put the cover back on. Put the chain in place and tighten the screw (clockwise) to tighten the chain on the bar.

Tighten the chain until it keeps the teeth of the chain inside the bar but loose enough that the chain turns freely.

Can you provide any help?
