Q:

Armana top loading washer leaking from bottom LW6001W2-PLW6001W2A Amana Washer

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the washer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Amana  model number  LW6001W2-PLW6001W2A.

On a top loading washing machine it usually leaks at one of two places.   That is at the back where the water lines hook into the valve and you say that isn't it.    The next place to look is the water drain hoses.   Check the hoses to make sure they aren't split or kinked.  Also check the drain pipe where the drain hose goes into and make sur that isn't clogged.
Lastly the place to check is the pump.  If the pump goes bad it could cause the seal area of the pump to go bad.

The pump isn't too bad a cost.   I have it on the link below to click on when ready.

Thanks for the advice and the link Larry; it is very much appreciated. If it turns out to be the pump, is this difficult to install? Also, would a leaking pump damage the bearings and would they have to be replaced too? Again, thanks for all of your help and have a Merry Christmas!
