Q:

Affinity washer LTF6000ES1 Frigidaire Washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I am sorry to hear that your washer will not spin. I know how upsetting that can be. There may be a few problems your washer may be experiencing. Now, you did not mention any error codes. Are there any code showing. It is a possibility that your control board may not be working. Does your washer agitate and drian? If so, it may as simple as a lock door assembly (part number131763202) has malfunctioned. The lock lid is a safety mechinism that stops the washer from spinning if the door is detected open for safey precaution. If this part is broken, the washer will not spin that way an accident is prevented. If you are not comfortable repairing this issue yourself, and if you would like a Sears technician to complete the repair, you can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663.
I hope this helps you. Have a great day.

Thank you for submitting your question. The E56 error indicates the control has detected a high motor current. Here is what you will need to do:

  • 1. Remove the belt from the motor and spin the motor pulley. Does the motor spin free? If no, you will need to replace the motor. If yes, go to step 3.

  • 2. Spin the tub pulley. Does the tub spin free? If no, check the tub bearings. If yes, go to step 3.

  • 3. Disconnect the plug from the motor and measure the resistance of the windings (pin1 to pin 2, pin 1 to pin 3, pin 2 to pin 3). All readings should be between 4 and 6 Ohms. If the readings are correct, replace the speed control board. If the readings are incorrect, replace the motor.

There is no way to reset the motor. You can make sure all wiring connections are good, but other than that I recommend following the troubleshooting above. I am giving you the teardown instructions for this washer in the images below. Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website; Sears Homes Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram or purchase any parts needed for your appliance; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. Check the things I have covered here and if I may be of further assistance please include model number and more details in a reply to this post. Thank you for choosing Manage My Life.com .

That E47 code indicates that the machine control board detects an open PTC (door lock wax motor). I recommend that you unplug the washer and check the resistance through that wax motor circuit. The wiring diagram shown below has that circuit traced. You will also need to check that auxiliary door lock switch. If that switch is "open" electrically when the door is locked, then the E47 will be displayed.

If you need help with accessing and checking those components, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

You can order parts from this page if needed: Frigidaire Washer Model LTF6000ES1 Parts . Unplug the washer before accessing and replacing internal components.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
