Question and Answers

Q:

Would a bad pump cause the error message? Or is an internal filter clogged up? Frigidaire Washer

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your Washer displays an error code. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found that the E20 error code means that a drain hose is kinked or a household drain is clogged. It does not give me any more information. I did look at the diagram and I do show that the pump has its own filter. I would recommend taking the unit apart and cleaning out the filter pump. Click here to view the pump filter. It is key number 40.

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

When error code "E47" is displayed; the door lock assembly is 99% of the time faulty even though it locks and the "door lock" light is illuminated. At this time I would replace the door lock assembly and your washer will most likely spin again. The door lock assembly is part #131763202 and can be ordered from Sears PartsDirect . NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing and replacing the door lock assembly.

This may be the issue. If not, please reply and I will be glad to assist you further.

I read through the information on the other thread ( Frigidaire error code E47. No spin. ). This does appear to be a difficult failure to resolve. Replacing the door lock assembly may fix this problem since you have replaced the control board and that did not help. You could have a bad auxiliary door lock switch (circled in green on the wiring diagram below) that could be causing this E47 code since the wax motor (PTC) appears to be okay. A problem with the wiring harness is also a possibility.

I hope that this additional information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.
