Thanks. Very logical: except the unit won't spin up even when the system is dry as a Baptist wedding. What "signals" the motor to spin up after the load distribution oscillations have completed? Thanks

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Frigidaire Washer, Model: LTF2940ES2. From reviewing the details on your model, it appears that he E10 error indicates that one of a group of error codes occurred. The specific code could have been one of the following: E11 - Fill time too long. E13 - Water leak in the tub or air leak in the air bell. E14 - Dispenser drawer reed switch is open. (See test 3 below)To recall the specific fault code from this group, follow these steps: Wake the machine by pressing any button wait 5 seconds, Press and hold the Start and Pause/Cancel buttons simultaneously. All LEDs will go blank and after a few seconds the control will signal the stored code. Based on the specific error code, follow the specified test and troubleshooting. The magnet for the dispenser drawer reed switch is shown in the second image below. If this magnet is missing, you will get the E14 code. Some of the troubleshooting provided is intended for service technicians. Do not conduct any test or troubleshooting that you are not completely confident that you can safely complete. As for the error code EF0 displays due to washer over sudsing or due to washer not filling with Hot water. The causes for washer over sudsing are: not using High Efficiency (HE) detergent. Too much detergent was added. Using too much 2X or 3X HE detergent Solutions for over-sudsing. Always use HE detergent in an HE washer. It is formulated to be a low-sudsing detergent and made especially for HE washers. Be sure to use the correct amount of detergent. HE washers require only a small amount of detergent.

Q:

DDO LTF2940ES2 Frigidaire Washer

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your washer and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number ltf2940es2 and dd0 error code indicates that the dispenser drawer is open. On many of these models, the control must sense that the dispenser drawer is shut before the washer will fill with water. The method of detection is a reed switch on the dispenser assembly. This switch is normally closed when a magnet in the closed dispenser drawer is in close proximity to the reed detector. A common failure of this switch involves the detection magnet that is supposed to be in place on the side of the dispenser drawer. If the magnet is missing, the control will detect that the drawer is open when it is actually closed.

First, make sure that the dispenser drawer is closed before starting the washer.

If the drawer is closed and you still get the dd0 fault code, check to make sure that the magnet is in place on the dispenser drawer. On most models, the magnet is on the right side of the dispenser drawer as you face the washer. If you pull the drawer out, it should be directly behind the front cover/handle about 1/2 way up. If it is missing, you will need to replace this magnet. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.
