A:

If the washer will tumble both directions in agitation then the motor and motor control are likely okay. When this washer will tumble but not spin the usual suspect is the door lock assembly. One way to confirm the door lock is the problem is to enter and run a diagnostic test. The information to do so is in the images below. If the washer spins in the test cycle then the door lock assembly needs to be replaced. The 2nd image shows how to bring up error codes which may help determine the problem. I hope this helps. You can reply with any additional details for further assisance.

Q:

Why is my Frigidaire washer displaying an E70 error code?

A:

I was unable to find the model number that you provided; however after changing 1 digit I believe I have the correct model number, LTF2940ES0.

I do not see an F70 error code listed for this model in the service manual. I do see an F76 & suspect that this is the error code displayed. For the F76 error code you will need to check if the hot & cold hoses are reversed. Since you stated that you have just recently moved, I recommend checking to see if the fill hoses are reversed.

Please see the image provided for the diagnostic test mode set up & error code list.
