Question and Answers

Q:

the clothes are still wet after spin cycle LTF1670DS0

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Frigidaire Washer. I am so sorry to hear the clothes are still too wet after the spin cycle. I know that has to be frustrating. I will be happy to help you with this.

Before starting a repair, I recommend you check the following:
1 - Make sure the tub is not overloaded.
2 - Loads that are too small can also cause the clothes to come out too wet.
3 - If the load is out of balance, stop the washer following the instructions outlined        in the manual and rearrange the load.
4 - Check the drain hose for kinks. Straighten if necessary.

Next with no clothes in the washer, let the washer start the drain/spin cycle. Listen for a humming noise which will indicate that the pump is working. If the water doesn't drain then there may be an issue with the pump or the hose is clogged. A clogged hose will be fairly easy to clear. If the issue was caused by a blocked hose, I recommend using Affresh Washing Machine Cleaner on a regular basis. It will help keep soap residue, mineral deposits and other debris from collecting in the tub, pump and drain. I have included the link to order the cleaner for you.

Affresh Washing Machine Cleaner.

If the hose is fine, then you can test the pump with an ohmmeter. If you need instructions on how to do that, please respond to this thread and I will be happy to get the procedures for you. When you are testing the pump, that will be a good time to see if there is something in the coin trap restricting the water from draining.

I hope this answers your questions. If I can be of further assistance please respond to this thread. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.
