Yadira i just checked the answer in the link thay you provided me. I inspected the lid and as a matter of fact it was very dirty, i clean it up but seems to me that is working properly because the lid sounds clicking ok and it goes up and down nicesely. Actually i dont have a way now to verify because i remove the timer already. Unless you say so i will put it back to see, but i fill the lid is working ok.

Thanks for the question about the washer stopping in mid cycle. This could be a sign of several different things; first does it stop in the exact same timer position every time, or does it change? If it is the exact same spot in the cycle (8min, 6min., 2 min.) then it could be the timer Second how do you get it to restart after stopping? Reset timer, wait till it comes back on, unplug and plug back in? These things will help determine or at least direct you in the right direction for diagnosing. If you cannot determine for sure I suggest checking the connections at the motor and the harness to the timer for being loose or burnt.Always disconnect the power supply before servicing the appliance Also when it stops don't move the timer like a clock but instead try moving the knob like a gear shift to see if it affects the operation. If it does react then yes the timer is bad. These are simple test that you can do should you need additional help please reply with more details.

Thanks Ron H.
