Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you with this question. I have looked up the model number you have submitted. To replace the gear on this starter it is easier with the special tools. If you do not have the tools, it can be done but is difficult. You will need to careful use small screwdrivers to pry the clip out. When ready to pry the clip, push down in the top just below the clip. This will release the clip. Once it is removed, you can install the new gear and push the clip back on. I know this sounds east but it can be very difficult. The image below shows how to replace the gear. I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance on the starter please reply below.
