Question and Answers

Q:

How do I remove the steering wheel from the steering column of a Snapper LT160H42DBV Lawn tractor?

A:

The pin/bolt you see is a 1/4 inch roll pin. To remove the roll pin you drive it out with a 1/4 inch drift punch and a hammer.

If you are not familiar, a drift punch is a punch with a 2-3 inch portion on the end milled to the same size. A regular punch will bottom out when the bottom of the punch meets the steering wheel. The drift punch will drive the roll pin out easily.
