Thank you for your question.

I can understand needing to get this part removed to do what you need to the washer.

The part number for this clamp does not come up in the parts list for this washer.

What you are showing me in the picture is the lid switch assembly with the screw bosses broken.

The lid switch part number is: 3949247 and you can purchase it from:Sears Parts Direct .

Repair Clinic has a video the will give the instruction and confidence to do this repair.

Repair Clinic lid switch .

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

My whirlpool washer works great but makes a loud banging noise when it's on the fast spin cycle?

It can be confusing when you have a perfectly good working washing machine and it make noises when on a fast spin cycle. I have taken some time to research your question here on the Manage My Life website and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link below for you to view. I hope the link that I have provided you is helpful.

Thank you for your question. If the washer makes a loud banging noise in fast spin when empty I suspect a suspension problem. If the washer only bangs in spin with a load, I suspect an out of balance load. This model does not have an out of balance shut off. If you hear banging in spin, stop the washer & rearrange the clothes. If the washer still bangs in spin empty, please get back with us on this after checking the fill & drain hoses to see if they are secured.
