Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the washer. I have looked up the model number you have submitted. According to the model number, this model has a speed selector switch. The motor speed switch does have an intermittent setting. This means the motor will agitate for a few seconds then sit. It will continue to do this through the whole was cycle. I recommend making sure the speed switch is not set to this setting. This is the most common thing we see with this complaint.

I hope this is helpful. Please feel free to reply below if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Hi Tony,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I do not have enough details in order to say what is causing the motor to stop and restart after a minute or so later. You did not indicate how it operates when you change the Agitate/Spin to a different setting.

You could be experiencing a motor failure, timer failure or a loose wire connection. The diagnosis of this issue will require the use of an ohm/volt meter and you will have to perform ohm checks and/or live voltage checks. If you have an ohm/volt meter and are confident in your technical abilities, please reply below and I will be happy to assist you further. I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your washer.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram or to purchase any parts needed; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please reply to this post.
