A:

Removing the agitator is most often the first step in removing stuck objects or repairs. Each model may be a little different but I did find a previous expert post with instructions for a Whirlpool that may help while you wait for the expert to review your model. I attached the link below along with the link for the schematics at Sears Parts Direct. It offers an exploded view of the parts which may help. Hope this information helps.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Remove the fabric dispenser (key#1) if it's installed. Pull the barrier cap (key#23) up and off. Remove the bolt (key#2) that you see down in the center of the agitator using a ratchet and extension with a 7/16 or 1/2 inch socket. After removing the agitator bolt, grasp the bottom of the agitator (key#4) and lift the agitator up and off.
