How do you replace a lid switch in a whirlpool imperial series washer Model number LSN2000PW2?

A:

Good afternoon..... I can fully understand your concern regarding this issue. The lid switch could easily be the source of your trouble. I did locate a link that will discuss your situation in greater detail. Though this link discusses a different model number, the mechanics are likely going to be very similar. Keep in mind that an expert will be responding within the next two business days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and instruction. I hope this link will help guide you as to what might be wrong with your washer and have a nice day.

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your washer. The image below will show you how to access and replace the switch. Please be sure to unplug the washer before doing any service. Also make sure you notate where the wires do before you disconnect them. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself and would like to schedule service, just click on this link: Sears Home Services. I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your washer. Based on what you are describing it sounds like you have a loose connection.  The motor would not usually be damage from this type of treatment, unless is was repeatedly. It is more likely that you disconnected or damaged the lid switch. You can bypass this to see if it is the problem. The image below will show you how to access the switch. Disconnect the two wires from the switch and connect them together, if the washer runs replace the lid switch. If it does not then you will need to check the rest of the connections. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself and would like to schedule service, just click on this link: Sears Home Services. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
