Question and Answers

Q:

trouble with stackable dryer

A:

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your dryer. It sounds like the drum belt has come off of the motor pulley. If you can hear the motor running but the drum is not turning, I would suspect the belt. If the motor is not running, this will require further diagnoses with a voltmeter. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, please click on this link to schedule service: Sears Home Services. Q:

Do I need a special tool?

A:

I can appreciate your desire to address this installation of a transmission on you washer.  I don't think there are any special tools involved but the job does entail a lot of focus on detail.  I did locate a link that is similar to the question you've posed.  Click here to view the link.  Though this link discusses a different model number,
the mechanics are likely going to be very similar.  Keep in mind that an expert will be
responding within the next two business days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and
instruction. I hope this information will be helpful and have a nice day.

Thank you for your question. I understand needing the right tools for any repair. You will need a spanner wrench for this repair.  Other tools you may already have on hand are a mallet, a Torx and flat screwdriver, Allen wrench and possibly a ratchet set.  Sears Parts Direct can set you up with needed parts.  A spanner wrench and other tools can be found at Sears . I have also added an image and a video that may help with this repair.  If further assistance is needed, please reply.  Thank you for using Manage My Life.
