Q:

Why did the motor coupler break after a few days of replacing it?

A:

Generally speaking it's uncommon for the motor coupler to fail within a few days of replacing it.

I assume you had replaced all 3 parts at one time. It is also important that the both parts are slid up on the shafts so that the end of the shaft is flush with the outer surface of the couplers. Make sure the motor is sitting correctly on the motor plate and its not sitting crooked. Did you clean the ends of the shaft with sandpaper so it slides on fairly easy? Are you having to knock the couplers onto the shaft and causing a fracture?

Overloading the washer or not having enough water for the amount of clothes is the number one cause of motor coupler failures.

Does the motor sound like its running properly and not clicking ON and OFF rapidly and continuously?

If the motor is running correctly and it's sitting correctly with the motor shaft aligning with the transmission input shaft the cause may be a mechanical failure with the gear case or basket drive. If the clutch is not slipping and it's applying too much initial torque to the basket drive possibly could cause the motor coupler to break.

Resubmit your question with additional details if you find something else in question. I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose the cause of the motor coupler to break so soon after replacement.
