Your description seems to indicate that you have a short in one of the circuits of that refrigerator. The first image below shows how to replace that water valve. You can check the installation of that component first. The second image shows a general circuit diagram for the refrigerator. You can unplug the refrigerator and check the circuits from the control board on the outside back panel of the refrigerator using a volt/ohm meter. Check for resistance through the circuits. This may indicate the circuit that is shorting out and causing your problem. The 3rd and 4th images show a more detailed circuit diagram. You may be able to use that information to find the apparent short circuit that caused the circuit breaker to trip.

If you are not able to find the short, I recommend that you have a service technician examine the refrigerator. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

the wire harness that came with the new water valve was wrong even though it still plugged in to the frig. should have used my original harness, cuz what it did was fry the circuit board on top , but i was able to repair with about a inch and half of solder, so everthing works perfect now but thanks for the response.

I'm sorry you are having this problem with the dispenser. Normally with this bucket, there will be some chipped ice along with the cubes. This is because the crusher blades are set very close to the gate that the cubes fall through and will catch some of the cubes. Adjusting the water to a lower level for smaller cubes can help. There are some dip switches on the main control board that will need to be adjusted to change the water fill level. This can be confusing and a technician may be needed. I'm attaching the information for making this adjustment. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
