Question and Answers

my wine cooler no longer cools. The compressor clicks and gets warm however the cooler does not cool. Does the compressor normally run this quietly? LRV810TT Lg Wine cooler

Thanks for the inquiry and for using
I didn't see an applicable thermostat or temp sensor on this unit. It appears the temp control is performed by the compressor and power control boards.
The clicks you hear could be a defective PTC-start relay, not allowing the compressor to kick on. However, you state that the compressor is warm, which usually means it's running. The low refrigerant could be an issue here, especially if the compressor is running. A technician would have to be involved for refrigerant checks, as a gauge needs to be used and refrigerant is normally restricted for purchase unless you are licensed. I would check the compressor first to make sure it's running. If you put your hand on it, you should feel it vibrating gently. If it is and it's warm, chances are the refrigerant is low, or there could also be a possibility of a PCB board failure. Either way, having a technician involved would be recommended.
