Question and Answers

Q:

Why does my heating Element stay on all the time LRE30453SB Lg Electric range

A:

Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com, and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear that the heating element is consistently on, and I understand how concerning that is to have happen. There have been documented instances with this model of a shorted relay in the power control board that can cause these types of issues. It appears there is an extended manufacturer’s warranty that should cover this repair.

To inquire into the warranty status and to set up the repair appointment, you can click here or call 1-800-349-5071.

I hope this helps, and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

I'm not sure which "burner assembly" you are referring to. Do you mean one of the top elements or the bake/broil element? Please reply with a few additional details for further assistance.

That F1 indicates that a key on that keypad is held down for too long or that you probably have a bad key panel on the range. I provided the technical explanation for that code and the troubleshooting in the first image below. The second image shows the components in that control console. The third image shows how to access the control key panel. I recommend that you unplug the range and check the ribbon wire connections between the control key panel and the main control board. If those wiring connections are okay, then you will probably need to replace that key panel (part 383EW1N006N). That is a relative inexpensive part (around $20). Here is a direct link for that part: Parts Assembly (Key Panel) for LG Range LRE30453SB . Unplug the range before accessing and replacing the key panel.

If you replace that key panel and have the same problem them you may need to replace the control board.

Reply with additional details if you need more help with this failure.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this F1 problem, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
