Question and Answers

Q:

Agitator Slipping LNC6760B71 Admiral Admiral laundry

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details, the augur assembly will need to be removed and replaced. The augur does not have any serviceable parts, it must be replaced as an assembly. The augur is part #21001878 which can be ordered from Searspartsdirect.com

To remove the augur, remove the fabric dispenser from top of the augur. Remove the bolt down the center of the augure. Lift the augur up and off. Reverse the procedure to install the new augur.

Q:

agitator floats up LNC6760B71 Admiral Admiral laundry

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.  I regret to hear that you are having issues with your washer and do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number LNC6760B71. From what you are describing it seems like the bolt holding down the agitator may be loose. I have included a link for the diagram. Number 4 in the diagram. Also make sure that there is any broken pieces in the agitator itself.

If you have further questions please let me know.
Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

Hi,

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance not working.

Yes Fro what you have stated in the blog I would believe the belt and gone faulty and would need to be replaced.  The washer needs to be disconnected from the wall outlet and slide it forward enough to tip the washer back and rest it on the wall.  Underneath will be the belt or what is left of it.  The new belt will wrap around the gearcase pulley and the pump pulley and the motor can be pivoted to get the belt around the pulley there.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

Bill
