Q:

WATER DISPENSOR WONT SHUT OFF LMX25981ST Lg Bottom-mount refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your water dispenser will not shut off.

Usually when your water dispenser will not shut off it is usually the dispenser switch getting stuck. The main part to replace would be the dispenser switch.

6600JB3001C is the dispenser switch that will need to be checked.

1) Pull out the darin
2) Hold the inner side
of cover dispenser
with both hands at
the handle side to
pull it out forward.
3) If nozzle is interfered with
button , push and pull out the
bottom of button.
4) Remove the
connected part of
Lead wire.
3-13 WATER BUTTON ASSMEBLY
1) Romove screws.
2) Grasp the Button assembly and lift up.

Q:

What would cause my LG model from making ice? LMX25981ST Lg Bottom-mount refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your ice maker is not working properly.

It sounds to me like it could be the water valve that has gone bad or the ice maker itself will need to be replaced.

Function Test:

1. This is a forced operation for TEST, Service, cleaning, etc. It is operated by pressing and holding the Fill Key for 3 seconds.
2. The test works only in the Icemaking Mode. It cannot be entered from the Harvest or Fill mode.
3. Caution! If the test is performed before water in the icemaker is frozen, the ejector will pass through the water. When the Fill mode begins (Stage 4), unless the water supply has been shut off, added water will overflow into the ice bin. If the control doesn’t operate normally in the TEST mode, check and repair as needed.
4. After water is supplied, the normal CYCLE is followed: icemaking Harvest Park Position Fill.
5. Five seconds after Stage 5 is completed, the Ice Maker returns to MICOM control. The time needed to supply water resets to the pre- test setting.

If your ice maker does not go through the cycle after reseting then you will need to replace the complete ice maker.
