I provided a copy of those templates in the images below. They are not the actual size but you may be able to use the measurements from those images if necessary to install that microwave. You can get a full size of the templates by calling Sears at 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME). An agent at that phone number should be able to ship you the templates without charge (covered by the warranty). The part numbers for those templates are 4922W1A027D and 4922W5A060B.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

If you need more help, let us know.

This is exactly the discussion I was hoping to find. I just destroyed the upper cabinet template for my LG LMH2016ST and I need another copy ASAP. Lyle, I tried to use the images you posted to get the measurements, but when I zoom in on the images to see the measurements, they aren't legible. Can you post slightly larger versions of them?

Q:

lg over the range microwave doesnt work

A:

Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VAC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as , can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave service. It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in microwave repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME. We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future. Below is a link to setup service.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

It would be near impossible to say which part or parts were damaged by running the microwave empty. You will need to have a service technician diagnose and repair your microwave.

I am sorry, but we do not give repair information on microwave ovens because they are inherently dangerous to service. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage, and a microwave shielding leakage test must be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. That's why I strongly warn you to have this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME.

Normally at ManageMyLife.com we like to help you with all of your repairs, but our expert advice is that microwaves are just too dangerous.
