Question and Answers

Q:

fix for door latches LFD22860TT Lg Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your LG refrigerator model LFD22860TT. I am so sorry the door latches are broken. And I apologize we did not answer your question in a timely manner. It was an oversight on our part. I will be happy to help you with this but will need some additional information. Please resubmit your question with a description of the latches. Refrigerators do not use door latches and we are unable to determine what parts you need.

Is the part attached to the doors or to the refrigerator cabinet? If they are on the cabinet, are you referring to the hinges that hold the doors to the cabinet? Are the parts metal, or plastic? Can you describe the shape? We will need this type of detail on the part to identify what you are looking for.

We look forward to your resubmitted question and the opportunity to help you find the parts you need to repair your refrigerator. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

I believe they are called closing cams. There is one on top of each door, spring loaded, and hold the doors closed. They keep the door from popping open when you close the other door. They are plastic.

This is my second reply to your e-mail. I believe they are called closing cams. There is one on top of each door, spring loaded, and hold the doors closed. They keep the door from popping open when you close the other door. They are plastic. Also, I ordered another part for my refrigerator , a vegetable crisper drawer Part Number: 3391JJ1038A, order number:W704748. Your web page claims this part is in stock, yet after waiting a week, I checked and my order was on back order. If it is not in stock web page should reflect that. If you can not help me , please let me know so that I may seek help elsewhere.
