Question and Answers

Q:

L G Refrigerator ice maker

A:

Thanks for the reply about your refrigerator model LFC25770ST; sorry you are still experiencing a problem. Based on the previous issue of water running constantly here are a few things you should check.  Check all the water line for kinks that may restrict water flow to the ice maker. Also check the fill tube at the ice maker to be sure it does not have ice built up inside it restricting water flow.  And I suggest that you inspect the water supply to the refrigerator and new inlet valve for good pressure. You may want to remove the connection and flush the line as based on the previous inlet failure there could be sediment in your water lines causing low pressure. I think this will help you, if you need more help reply with details and I will respond. If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.Ron H.

Q:

problem with l g ice maker

A:

Thanks for using manage my life for help with your refrigerator model LFC25770ST; sorry you are having a problem, I will be glad to assist. Based on the description you have provided I also think the water inlet valve is the cause of the weeping. The inlet valve is located on the back of your refrigerator, lower left side when facing the back. Follow the water supply line, it attaches to the inlet valve. _Always disconnect power supply before servicing the appliance and when testing live voltage be sure to wear proper safety equipment (gloves and eye protection) also be aware of sharp metals on product_Be sure to turn water off at wall cutoff before servicing. Here is a link to the inlet valve part number 5220JB2010A. If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.Ron H.

Q:

ice maker water shut off Valve LFC25770ST Lg Bottom-mount refrigerator

A:

Hi,

Thanks for contacting  ManageMyLife.  I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance.

The fill times are controlled by the icemaker and below is the chart to check the fill times.  If the water does not shut off at the icemaker, I would suspect a water pressure that is either too low or too high for the valve to shut off.  Insure you are getting 8 ounces of water at the dispenser by filling a large measuring glass.  It should take 8-12 seconds to dispense the 8 ounces.

If the water dispenser checks Ok and I would cycle the icemaker and see if the water is shutting off at the icemaker.  If not I would suspect the water valve.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.

Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.
