Question and Answers

Q:

Temperature automatically changing by itself. LFC25760SW Lg Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your LG Refrigerator, Model: LFC25760SW. From reviewing the details on your model, from the symptoms you’re explaining the only think I can think oif that could cause the temperature in the freezer to keep adjusting would be either the display board or the thermistor. The thermistor basically regulates the temperature in the freezer. Try unplugging the refrigerator for about five minutes to reset all the electronics to make sure its not the display board.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the refrigerator to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident in this repair, then you can have it repaired at home by a sears technician. I have the included a link to the website: Sears Home Services or call 1-800-469-4663

Q:

What repair parts needed for refigerator display after door left open and unit melted and came unattached? LFC25760SW

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your light melted in your refrigerator.

If the display went out then you will need to replace the main PCB. It has a large relay that goes out. Also the light socket and plastic housing.

A:

Thank you for your question. I know it's disappointing when the icemaker stops working. If there is ice in the mold but it's not harvesting, first check to see if the temperature in the freezer is cold enough, to cycle the icemaker (below 12 degrees). To check the temperature, place a thermometer between some packages. Air temperature is not a good check. If the temperature is ok, the icemaker # 5989JA0002N will need to be replaced. These icemakers are not repairable. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
