Q:

LG lfc23760st not getting cold LFC23760ST Lg Bottom-mount refrigerator

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Lg Refrigerator, Model: LFC23760ST. From reviewing the details on your model, if the motor has 120 volts to it but it's not running, the fan motor is defective and will need to be replaced. Now, when making this voltage check, make sure the wires are still connected to the motor. Do not disconnect any wires (plug) or you will get a false reading. A good check for this will be to jump the control board. First disconnect power to the unit. Now use a well-insulated jumper and place it between terminal 8 on the J2 connection and terminal 1 on the J1 connection. This will be the white wire and the bk/rd wires. Reconnect the power and if the motor runs now, the board will need to be replaced.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the refrigerator to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.

Hi,

Thank you for your question. It is concerning when the refrigerator is not functioning. I would advise to unplug the refrigerator and gain access to the main control board on the rear wall of the refrigerator. There is a fuse built on to the board and if the fuse is broken, you would need to replace the board completely. I am providing you a link to the board if you find it is the problem. LG Refrigerator Model LFC23760st .

If you have some other questions, please reply to this thread, and I will happily assist you.

Bruce, On the con1 the skyblue and brown is the 120 volts into the refrigerator and if you leave one of the leads on the shyblue and check the black to the skyblue and the yellow to the skyblue the reading should be 120 volts AC the yellow is a constant 120 volts and the black is for the compressor. If the voltage is not there the transformer is faulty and the board needs to be replaced.
