Thank you for your question.  I am sorry you are having a problem with your Whirlpool LER8857EQ2 electric dryer.   

If the dryer will run but not heat then first check the two circuit breakers supplying power to the dryer.  If one breaker is tripped then the dryer would have 120 volts to run the motor but not have 240 volts to heat with. 

The heating circuit consist of the timer, thermal cut-off, control thermostat, element and motor switch. 

Each can be checked with a meter if one is available.  The control thermostat, thermal cut-off and hi-limit thermostat can be checked without a meter it you know the trick.  Let me know if you would like to try this. 

The parts are located behind the rear panel.
