Thank you for your question and I understand wanting to diagnose and repair your dryer. I must assume the dryer will not even hum when start is pushed.

I added an image below with the start circuit traced in Blue and Black. In order for the motor to get voltage, the timer must close contacts BK to BU when the timer is turned to any position but off. The push to start relay must close and remain closed in order for the voltage to be supplied to the THERMAL fuse. The thermal fuse is highly possibly faulty causing the voltage to terminate. Disconnect the wires from the thermal fuse and test the thermal fuse for continuity using an OHM meter. The Neutral circuit must also be intact all the way to the motor or the motor will not start. The door switch and timer contact T and W must close in order to complete the Neutral path to the motor.

The thermal fuse (key#7) is located on the blower housing. You will need to disconnect the power cord from the power source and remove the rear panel in order to access the thermal fuse.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
