Question and Answers

Q:

DRYER RUNS BUT NO HEAT LEQ2152EE1 Frigidaire Dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dryer will not heat.

You will need to test the heating element, thermostats, and thermistor to determine which part is causing your dryer not to heat.

The high limit thermostat should read 0 resistance (closed continuity). The heating element should read approx 10 ohms resistance.

Measure the resistance of the control thermistor (the thermistor can remain on the blower
housing for measurement). NOTE: If the reading is less than 45K ohms or greater than
55K ohms @ 77°F, it is faulty.

You can also visit searpartsdirect.com for parts, diagrams, and repair information.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.

Dryer Eating Clothes LEQ2152EE1 Frigidaire Dryer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Frigidaire dryer.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your dryer malfunction, after researching model number LEQ2152EE1.  It would definitely be a good idea to replace the rear bearing as well. However, it is a bit of a job. The good thing here is that most dryers would require a whole back drum to be replaced because the bearing is built into that. On this model there is a bearing kit available which is part# 5303281153 Below I have linked some information on the repair to see if you’re able to do it yourself or if you wanted to schedule a date for a technician to head out.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

*Safety disclaimer before you try and repair the unit make sure the power supply is disconnected. There may be sharp parts to the unit that can cause injury to you if not careful. If you don’t not feel comfortable checking this yourself you can request a technician by visiting www.SearsHomeService.com*
