According to your model number and serial number, you need control board part number 6871DD1014A. The control board part 6871DD1006E is not backward compatible with that original control board that you had in that dishwasher. Here is a direct link for the control board that you should need for that repair: Control Board Part 6871DD1014A for LG Dishwasher Model LDF7811WW . Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher before accessing and replacing internal components.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

Wow. I had the same problem with my control board. Exact same place burned. I called LG and they said there were no recalls. There should be. That is a safety issue. Here is a picture of my control board for the model LDF7810ST. I ordered the new control board 6871DD1006G and it is exactly the same except for the two connecitons on the upper left. Red connector is backwards and red and white are swapped.

Hello Russell. I understand your concern about that control board failure. Although I do not see any current recalls or common issues regarding the control board in that LG dishwasher, I did forward your picture and the information about this issue to our product engineer. If you replaced that control board and the dishwasher is not working then you may have the incorrect control board replacement part. Reply with the full Serial Number of your dishwasher if you need help with determining the proper control board replacement part.

I can see how a problem in this area would cause problems with the dishwasher cleaning.

I think you are referring to part # A070 in the image below. It is the guide assembly and comes as one unit. It is part # 4974DD9001A. That is attached to the water guide at the very back of the tub, part # F191. Both of these come as a complete assembly. Individual sections are not available.

To remove the spray arm, pull top rack forward, turn spray arm counter clockwise to remove. Some models have one screw to remove, but this should be an easy fix. The guide assembly should come as a kit with any gaskets needed.

This should help change out this part. If further assistance is needed, please reply. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
