Question and Answers

Q:

Can't get hot water to go into tub LAT9200AAW Maytag Maytag laundry

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with your washer. Upon researching model LAT9200AAW; if you get cold water when you set the washer for a hot-wash load, first make sure the water heater is doing its job. (FYI, if the water is warm instead of hot, your ENERGY STAR washer is following Department of Energy standards that limit hot water to 85-95 degrees F for the Normal cycle.) If the water heater is fine, you may need to replace the temperature water switch. The temperature selector switch lets you set the temperature of the water going into the washer. The temperature selector switch is usually a rotary switch mounted in the control panel. If the switch fails, the washer won't fill properly or might not fill at all. If one of the water inlet fill valves isn't actuated because of defective contacts in the switch, the actual water temperature differs from the set temperature. I have posted a link below of the switch key#22.

I trust that this information will help you, thank you have a great day.

I may need a few more details to assist you with this problem. The motor on this model runs one direction to wash and reverses to drain the water out. If the washer agitates okay but will not drain or spin then I suspect the timer may be at fault. If the washer starts to spin but will not drain then the pump may be the problem or the pump belt may be broken. For further assistance please reply with a few more details.
